Outcome
An interactive prototype covering trip confirmation and different itinerary scenarios.

Summary:

This project explored a clearer trip-confirmation experience in the travel app. The goal was to give travellers an overview of their booking and guide them through the next steps.

The Project:

Following disruptions to trip fulfilment in 2023, the team wanted to make confirmation information clearer and more useful.

We mapped the components customers could purchase and the variations the experience needed to support: direct and connecting flights, multiple destinations and activities. We then benchmarked travel agencies, airlines, hotels and digital wallet apps to explore ways of organizing this information.

These inputs informed the information architecture and interaction design of the prototype below. The case presents the design work; it does not report post-launch results.

See the complete prototype.

The prototype brings different itinerary components into one trip overview. Its structure responds to the variations mapped during discovery, including connections, multiple destinations and activities.
